Last month saw Mantis cranes insert a Potain IGO50 Self Erecting Tower Crane on a retirement apartments project at Haywards Heath in Sussex.
The Pedestrian Operated Tower Crane for the project needed to provide a height under hook of 23.3m, with a maximum lift of 1000kg at 40m.
As our client had the correct ground conditions in place for the crane to be operated our service team were able to have the crane on site in a short period of time. using a telehandler, the crane was put in place and folded out, in line with our safety procedures and standards.
The project is a new build and typical of the type of project that an Self Erecting Tower Crane is ideal for. The smaller footprint that the crane occupies, fewer site movements also results in lowers costs and increased safety.
