Mantis Cranes recently completed the insertion of our second new Potain IGO T85A on a hotel project in Derby.
Our engineers inserted the Self Erecting Tower Crane (SETC) on site for the steel and timber frame construction in mid-March. The crane will be in place for 11 weeks.
The pedestrian controlled IGO T85A was ideal for the project as it can achieve the client’s requirement for a maximum lift of 1.25 tonnes at 45m and a height under hook of 35m. An onsite induction was completed with the designated crane operator, allowing work to commence on the project in a short space of time. Click here for more information on the IGO T 85A.
IGO T85A Hotel Project: Advantage of Using SETC
- Siting Costs are lower for a SETC
- Self erecting tower cranes minimise the number of vehicle movements on site, increasing safety
- IGO T85A operates from one stationary position
