Currently Mantis Cranes have two Pedestrian Operated Tower Cranes on a School Building project near Wembley Stadium in London.
Our engineers placed two Potain Self Erecting Tower Cranes, an IGO T85A and HDT80, on site recently, Another Potain HDT80 will be added to the project in the coming weeks.
The Potain IGOT85A and the Potain HDT80 have jib lengths of 40m and 45m respectively, offering a maximum capacity lift at the jib end of 1,250kg. They have many advantages over standard City Tower Cranes including ease of installation, cost effectiveness, safety and a more accurate delivery of the load to the point of work. The cranes are due to be on site for at least 15 weeks.
The project, at Ark Elvin Academy School, includes a brand new two and three storey building. Additionally there will be a new library, dining quarters, modern classrooms, a five-court sports hall and a sixth form common room and study space. Planning permission was granted earlier in 2016 and the project is due for completion in 2017.
